Alderson Broaddus University is set to host its 18th Annual “Brass in the Grass” Festival this weekend in Philippi, featuring two unique concert opportunities.

The first concert will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 7:30PM in Wilcox Chapel. The second concert will be held outdoors on the plaza in front of Wilcox Chapel on Sunday afternoon, April 24, at 3PM. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or folding lawn chair for this concert.

The festival, which will be the school’s largest ever, will feature a wide variety of musical styles, as well as several featured soloists and guest musicians. 108 performers will be on stage for the planned mass brass ensemble pieces. The highest previous total is 84 players.

The festival is free and the public is invited to attend.
