CMA Award-nominated country duo Maddie & Tae will perform at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon on October 14. Opening act Jacob Davis will take stage at 8PM in the John D. Rockefeller IV Physical Education Center. Tickets are $15 in advance for general admission and $20 for first-come, first-serve limited reserved lower level seats. Tickets are $15 at the door depending on the availability. Doors open at 7PM.
Maddie & Tae is an American female country music duo composed of Madison “Maddie” Marlow and Taylor “Tae” Dye, both of whom are singers, songwriters, and guitarists. Signed by Dot Records, they released a new album, “Start Here,” featuring “Girl in a Country Song” and “Fly” this summer.
The duo has performed on The Today Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and other day and night time shows. Raised in Sugar Land, TX and Ada, OK, they moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a music career. Maddie & Tae write songs which include themes about bullying (“Sierra”) and the power of friendship (“After the Storm Blows Through”), among others. “Honesty’s always the best policy” are words they live by.
The Country Music Association announced that the duo received three nominations for the 49th Annual CMA Awards on Good Morning America, which will air on November 4. They are nominated for Duo of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Video of the Year for “Girl in a Country Song.”
