The first annual Soundwaves and IPAs Craft Beer and Music Festival is happening this Saturday, June 25, at Bridgeport City Park. The event supports the Bridgeport Arts Council and features live music, popular local food vendors, and unlimited samples of over 50 craft beers from breweries throughout West Virginia and around the world (click here to view the full list of featured beers).
Adults 21 years and older can purchase tickets at the gate or order tickets in advance through beerfests.com. There are both VIP and general admission tickets available. For $60, VIP tickets get you early access to the event at 2:00 p.m., plus a custom 16 oz. stainless steel mug. General admission tickets are $35 and come with a 5 oz. sample cup.
The festival runs from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. and will feature live music throughout the entire event. Playing jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, acoustic guitar and more, the musical selection offers something for everyone. The lineup starts with local favorite Rus Reppert and finishes with Brooklyn, NY hit-makers Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds.

In its inaugural year, Sound Waves and IPA’s beer and music festival is putting safety first. Since shelter at the event is limited, there will be a comfort station available for anyone needing medical assistance or just a little time to recover. Portable and public restrooms are available, as well. It’s expected to be a hot one, so it’s recommended that you dress in lightweight clothes. Don’t drink and drive – call Royal Cab at 304-326-8294 or appoint a designated driver for a safe ride home.
