Clarksburg Baptist Church will host a Back 2 School Block Party on Wednesday, August 10, from 6-7:30PM at Clarksburg Baptist Church for children K-5th Grade. The Block Party is free and open to the entire community.

The event will feature inflatables, games, and music by Cartoon Headquarters, as well as face painting and crafts. The first 50 elementary students at the Block Party will receive a free backpack with basic school supplies.

This community outreach event aims to provide local families with a fun and safe environment for their children to celebrate the end of summer before they head back to the classroom on August 16.

“This year, we decided to celebrate the end of summer with a Back 2 School Block Party for the community. We will have activities with an emphasis on ‘friends’ taken from Proverbs 18:24,” said Janit Satterfield, director of children’s ministry. “It’s so important to have good friends and to be a good friend to others. A basic truth we teach in our children’s ministry Clubhouse252 is, ‘I should treat others the way I want to be treated’. What better way than by being a great friend to someone!”

The block party will take place in the church parking lot located at the corner of 6th & Pike Streets in downtown Clarksburg.
