On Saturday, January 9, John Ebert received the first “Hometown Hero” award at the basketball game vs Trinity. The “Hometown Hero” recipient is chosen by the students of the Notre Dame National Honor Society to show appreciation for school and community service.

In September 2012, Ebert began sponsoring a math ACT prep class which he taught with two other teachers. Over 1,000 students have attended this free class which has helped many students improve their math ACT score, as well as earn the Promise Scholarship.

In addition, as the owner of 16 McDonalds restaurants, Ebert has provided food to the Notre Dame basketball teams after games.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for The Clarksburg Post’s featured article on John Ebert’s Math ACT Prep Class.
