One King Sports, a local non-profit sports ministry, will soon launch its capital campaign for its planned multi-use sports facility. The new facility will be built on land in southern Harrison County donated by Horizons Church to the sports ministry.

The new facility will be used as the home for all One King Sports activities. The sports ministry currently has a thriving basketball league, flag football and cheer. The ministry is planning to add a soccer skills clinic and One King Volleyball League later in 2017.

The multi-use sports facility is being designed by MSES consultants. The facility will have two regulation size basketball courts that can be converted to use for volleyball, indoor soccer and various other sports. The facility will include bleacher seating, concession area, player meeting rooms, and coach’s meeting/training conference room. The total cost of this facility will be in the $2 million dollar range.

One King Sports sees the new facility as an opportunity to expand the ministry into additional sports and age divisions, as well as providing more opportunities to spread the Word of the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ.

As part of the capital campaign, presentations will be given to local businesses, individuals, and organizations in hopes of securing financial donations.

One King Sports plans to share monthly updates on the campaign on its website, as well as social media channels.
