New Year’s Eve can often be a struggle for those battling addiction, but one local recovery ministry is offering an alternative to provide a fun and safe environment to ring in the New Year.

This Thursday night, Celebrate Recovery at Clarksburg Baptist Church is hosting a New Year’s Eve Party that will feature a special concert by local Christian worship band Profound Revival, followed by a showing of the movie War Room. Free food will also be provided. The event starts at 8PM and will end after midnight.

“The holidays particularly New Years are a time when folks who struggle may have an even more difficult time. We would like to provide a safe place for holiday fun and festivities,” said Lou Ortenzio, senior ministry leader. “We are blessed to be downtown in a central site and we invite all to come and check us out. We think everyone will enjoy the concert and the food and the movie will give everyone something to think about for the New Year.”

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian ministry designed to help people seeking recovery from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups such as drug and alcohol addiction, grief, codependency, relationship issues, and much more.

Barbour County Celebrate Recovery will also host a New Year’s Eve celebration at Philippi Baptist Church starting at 8PM.

If you, or someone you know, is interested in attending the celebration, visit the Celebrate Recovery at Clarksburg Baptist Church Facebook page or contact Lou Ortenzio at 304-677-8880 or via email.
