Here’s a look at the Hotel Gore around the 1940’s located at the corner of West Pike and Second St. in downtown Clarksburg. Eventually the hotel was converted into office spaces. The building was owned by Dr. Truman E. Gore, brother of Howard M. Gore, Governor of West Virginia (1925-1929).

Today, Altered Productions Dance Institute and EZ To Use.com occupy street level space in the building. The upper floors to the building have recently been renovated into beautiful apartments.
