Today, we’re taking a look back at Main Street in downtown Clarksburg in the 1930s.

Notice the streetcar tracks, which provided public transportation throughout parts of the city. Many of the classic buildings seen in this photo such as the Goff Building and the Union National Bank Building are still standing today. What is your favorite building in downtown Clarksburg? The Arcade Building that can be seen on the immediate right was destroyed by a fire. Later, the site was home to J.C. Penny Co.
