A Clarksburg Police Officer, whose efforts while on patrol in North View in March led to the arrest of two individuals for running a Meth Lab, has been commended by the Clarksburg Police Department and the City of Clarksburg.

Patrolman First Class Chris Harris of the Clarksburg Police Department has been presented with the Chief’s Award for his quick and precise action when recognizing a suspicious situation.

The award is presented to an officer for any reason deemed appropriate by the Chief of Police, but normally someone who has displayed initiative in performing a task above and beyond that which is required, or performed a given task in an exemplary and professional manner.

Thank you, Officer Harris, for serving and protecting our city.
