On Saturday, West Virginia started off the 125th year of Mountaineer football with a victory over the Missouri Tigers, with a final score of 26-11.

Despite suffering a rib injury in the first half, quarterback Skyler Howard finished the game with 253 yards passing for the Mountaineers. WVU’s Rushel Shell III and Justin Crawford each scored a touchdown and Mike Molina kicked four field goals.

West Virginia faces Youngstown State next Saturday, September 10, at 2PM in Morgantown.
