After a 24-13 season-opening loss on the road to Fairmont Senior, Robert C. Byrd H.S. has dropped one spot to No. 8 in the WV MetroNews High School Football Class AA Power Rankings. The Flying Eagles are on the road again this Friday night against the Liberty Mountaineers.

After an impressive 50-13 victory against Buckhannon-Upshur to start the season, Bridgeport remains at No. 1 (AA). The Indians are at home this Friday night against Wheeling Park, in what will be a tough match-up. The Patriots are currently ranked No. 3 in the Class AAA power rankings.
